I went to the police station today, after I printed out all the info. I talked to an officer. He said there's nothing they can do because they "Don't have enough resources." I asked him if I should go to the FBI. He said they wouldn't give me the time of day. He had the nerve to compare my situation with fraudulent checks. "We get 5,000 bad checks written a day. We can't go chasing down every bad check written. So, we go after the felony checks which drops it down to 4." Thanks. That makes me feel much better.
He told me to contact the county's Children Justice Center. Okay? I told him that the organization is in clear violation of COPPA. I told him I'm in substantial fear for my life and the life of my child. He said he was sorry. I asked him if the only way they'd be able to help me is if my life was immediately in danger. He said "Yes." I thanked him and left.
I don't know what to do. I don't know.
The mind is its own place, and in itself, can make heaven of Hell, and a hell of Heaven. ~John Milton
